With eight games gone in the Premier League, if you have found your way to this article, chances are you are in deep need of some help with your Fantasy Premier League team. There are too many players to choose from and sometimes it can be hard to know exactly who to transfer in and out of your team in any given week. You probably already have a general sense of who you want to eject from your team, but Get Him in Your Team should help you decide who to transfer in. This is Get Him In Your Team! for Gameweek 9 in England’s top flight.
Kyle Walker (6.0)
Tottenham continue to have one of the sturdiest defenses in the league and one of their best attacking outlets continues to be Kyle Walker so why not get him in your team? Walker has already made 2 Mastermind Team of the Week appearances and currently has the second highest Fantasy points total among defenders with 42, yet he can still be bought for only 6.0. Among the list of players that Kyle Walker currently has more fantasy points than is Eden Hazard, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sergio Aguero, Mesut Ozil and Dele Alli, so what are you waiting for? Get Him In Your Team now!
Laurent Koscielny (6.2)
No defender in the Premier League has been better this season than Laurent Koscielny and his fantastic displays in defense have led the Gunners to a second-place position in the table, ahead of arch rivals Spurs and Manchester United. The French defender is currently top of the charts for defenders in terms of fantasy points with 43 but his current price of 6.2 is likely to increase as Arsenal continue to look a tough side to score against when Granit Xhaka isn’t giving the ball away unnecessarily. With upcoming matches against Middlesbrough and Sunderland now is the optimal time to pick Koscielny up and the fact that no defender has scored more goals than him this season just gives you one more reason to transfer him into your team now.
Charlie Daniels (4.9)
In Gamweek 5’s edition, I suggested you pick up Bournemouth defender Adam Smith. Since then he’s been part of Bournemouth’s steady defense and has earned 11 points in 4 matches. Another fantastic Bournemouth defender to take a look at is none other than wing-back playmaker Charlie Daniels who was a favourite of Fantasy Premier League managers of last season. You probably already know how productive Daniels can be down that left-side, scoring goals, whipping in crosses and constantly creating chances for teammates but what you don’t know is that Daniels is at the price of just 4.9 and no defender above him in the points chart can be bought for a cheaper price. Don’t shy away from picking up either of these Bournemouth defenders in the upcoming weeks because they definitely will not disappoint.
Joe Allen (4.9)
At the price of just 4.9, Joe Allen is probably better value for his price than any other player in any fantasy sport game on earth. Allen has been incredible this season and is flourishing under Mark Hughes in an attacking midfield role. The Stoke City midfielder has scored 4 goals this season, already equally his best ever tally and is showing no signs of slowing down as he’s also scored twice in World Cup Qualifying for Wales so far. Allen has always been a phenomenal passer of the ball and will likely start to add a few assists to his game as well but the fact that he’s scored so many goals in recent times and the types of goals that he has been scoring tells the story of exactly why you should drop your other 4.9 players like Victor Wanyama and Etienne Capoue and pick up Welsh midfielder Joe Allen instead. Sir Alex Ferguson recently called him a complete midfielder and The Mastermind could not agree more.
Victor Moses (5.5)
Who would’ve thought that Victor Moses would be one of Chelsea’s star performers under Antonio Conte this season. The Nigerian winger has been immense for the Blues this season and now is beginning to add goals and assists to his game, showing his quality once and for all and demonstrating why Chelsea have been right to keep hold of him all these years. Moses has been given a regular role as a right-wing-back in the side recently but has also featured further down the wing. No matter where he plays Victor Moses is definitely going to be given a more prominent role in Chelsea’s team this year and could be set to play a big part in their quest to win the UEFA Champions League title. At the price of just 5.5 he could be a massive steal for you to bring in to your side as well.
Theo Walcott (9.0)
It’s probably no shock to you that Theo Walcott features on this list and even though 9.0 is not cheap by any means, the Arsenal winger is certainly worth it because he has been incredible so far this season and currently leads the Fantasy Premier League points chart. After a couple of seasons of injury problems, Walcott is fully fit again and now that he’s been given a regular run in the side he is scoring for fun and leading Arsenal towards the top of the table. The English midfielder has scored 5 goals with 2 assists in only 8 matches so far this campaign, more goals + assists than Hazard (9.8) and Ozil (9.5) combined. Walcott has been immense for Arsenal this season and should definitely be one to try and get in to your fantasy team as soon as you can.
Charlie Austin (6.4)
Finally Claude Puel’s diamond formation is starting to work and it is almost entirely down to the presence, pace and power of Charlie Austin up front. The Southampton man has been superb so far this season, scoring 4 goals with 1 assist in 8 matches and has led the Saints’ rise towards the top of the table as they currently sit in 8th place. Austin scores all kinds of goals and the last time he was given a regular run in a Premier League side he netted 18 goals in 35 Premier League matches so this scoring run is likely to continue for the rest of the season. At just 6.4 there is no striker that is better value than Charlie Austin in the Premier League.
Romelu Lukaku (9.5)
Romelu Lukaku has always been one of the league’s best strikers, but this year he is banging in the goals at a faster rate than ever before. With creative players like Yannick Bolasie, Gerard Deulofeu and Ross Barkley all around him he is guaranteed to continue to score goals. Lukaku sits just five points off the top of the fantasy points charts with 50 points and with 6 goals in 7 matches, he could just end up being in the hunt to win the golden boot. Romelu Lukaku is a striker with loads of quality and will be a better option to lead the line up front for you than Ibrahimovic, Vardy and more.
