English Premier League Gameweek 3 Predictions

Gameweek 3 should provide loads of entertainment as always in the Barclays Premier League, especially with new signings still coming through the door, teams still trying to gel together, and big matchups such as Spurs vs. Liverpool and Manchester City vs. West Ham. Here are my predictions for Gameweek 3 in the English Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Liverpool

This will be a testy and tight affair even despite Liverpool’s shocking defeat to Burnley last weekend.

Man of the Match: Victor Wanyama

Watford 1-2 Arsenal

Watford have gotten off to a decent start this season but still are without a win. Arsenal meanwhile are also without a win but should be able to get that first win of the season against Walter Mazzari’s new look Watford.

Man of the Match: Laurent Koscielny

Leicester 2-0 Swansea

Swansea slumped to defeat last week against Hull City and should be prepared to do the exact same against the Champions on Saturday.

Man of the Match: Danny Drinkwater

Chelsea 2-0 Burnley

Burnley usually struggle away from home in the Premier League while Chelsea usually thrive at home. With that in mind this should be an easy 2-0 win for Antonio Conte’s side.

Man of the Match: Branislav Ivanovic

Crystal Palace 1-1 Bournemouth

Both teams have lost their opening two matches and are coming in to this match in really poor form. A draw could be a likely result. However, Crystal Palace might be able to pull out a result if Christian Benteke starts.

Man of the Match: Scott Dann

Everton 2-1 Stoke City

Stoke City have looked nowhere near up to speed so far this season, while Ronald Koeman’s Everton are currently undefeated. Unfortunately for the Potters, that trend is looking likely to continue on Saturday.

Man of the Match: Ross Barkley

Southampton 1-0 Sunderland

Both Southampton and Sunderland have looked sluggish so far this season but David Moyes’ side look in serious trouble for the long term as Vito Mannone and John O’Shea have both picked up injuries within the last week. Claude Puel’s side may be able to take advantage of that and get their first win of the season.

Man of the Match: Dusan Tadic

Hull 1-3 Manchester United

Hull and Manchester United are two of just three sides to get off to a winning start in both of their opening matches so far this season, but with Ibrahimovic and Pogba in their lineup, the Red Devils will be just far too much for the Tigers to handle.

Man of the Match: Zlatan Ibrahimovic

West Brom 1-1 Middlesbrough

Both West Brom and Middlesbrough have enjoyed decent starts to the 2016-17 Premier League season and come into this game on a pretty level playing field. A draw could be a likely result as Middlesbrough look excellent so far in attack while West Brom look excellent so far in defense.

Man of the Match: Gareth McAuley

Manchester City 2-1 West Ham

Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t looked incredibly convincing in either of their two opening games but have always found a way to win. Nothing will change on Sunday especially with how poor West Ham United have looked so far this season.

Man of the Match: Raheem Sterling
