It’s been five years since I compiled a Top 100 Footballers of the Year list. Mostly because it takes so much time to write.

But I thought it might be time to rebirth this series with a democratic voting twist.

In the next month, you have the power to vote for the Top 100 Footballers in the world. In December, I’ll then begin writing the results.

First up, it’s the goalkeepers. Below are some of the top keepers in the world. You get to vote for eight of them. The keepers with the most votes will be included in the list. Those that are further down the top eight might be included based on number of votes in relation to other positions.

Your voting criteria can be whatever you want, but remember that this is all about how a player performed in 2026, not just their reputation.

Time to vote!
