Bundesliga clubs keep a close eye on Edin Terzic

After the majestic performance in the DFB Pokal final against RB Leipzig, Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke announced that only a few days prior to the match, Edin Terzić signed a new contract with the club. With the appointment of Mönchengladbach’s Marco Rose for next season, Terzić was not expected to stay, and many top-tier teams had their eyes on the 38-year-old manager. Luckily for Dortmund fans and players alike, it appears the German manager is perfectly happy to return to his role as the assistant once the season comes to an end. Despite that, several Bundesliga clubs will be keeping a close eye on the 38-year-old, after his triumphant cup win.

The German footballing landscape has witnessed a major managerial merry-go-round in recent months. With so many clubs still seeking new managers, the chaos is certainly far from over, and Edin Terzic could easily be pulled into the mess. Bayer Leverkusen recently announced that Hannes Wolf will return to his duties as U18 manager for Germany, and Eintracht Frankfurt also have a vacancy once Adi Hütter takes change of Mönchengladbach. Wolfsburg could be another prime candidate for Terzić, if, and only if, Oliver Glasner and the club decide to part ways. Glasner’s name was heavily linked with the vacant RB Leipzig job until Jesse Marsch signed on, and the Austrian’s also been linked with the likes of Salzburg, Frankfurt, and even Tottenham Hotspur
